This month, we are using the Chalk It Up paper kit (X7184B). You will find this kit very versatile. It is great for school projects, all types of cards and so much more. Don't kit the kit names put you in a box as to what to use it for, although a couple of the prints may be theme specific, the others have many uses. For this card I used the stamp set For a Friend (D1542). I used the Star BT and the Random Words BT. I also used the zip strip from this sheet of background texture duo and a strip of Lagoon CS. I used the direct to paper method of distressing the Lagoon CS with Lagoon Ink Pad. After distressing two short pieces of Lagoon CS, I flag cut one end of each piece. Then I used a Sponge Dauber with Lagoon Ink Pad to softly distress the edges of the Random Words BT. I stamped the "Thinking of you my Friend" saying with Archival Ink (44751) on a piece of Colonial White CS that I cut with the Artiste Cricut Cartridge. Then filled in the strip around the edges with one of our new ShinHan Touch Twin Markers (B68) Turquoise Blue page. I layered the Zip Strip onto the long strip of Lagoon CS. Then working from left to right, I adhered the Star BT piece against the folded edge, then the Lagoon CS with Zip Strip, and lastly the Random Words BT. I adhered the two Lagoon CS flagged pieces to the center bottom edge of saying, then applied 3D tape to back of saying to pop up the saying. Last but not least, I embellished with a piece from one of the Sparkles Clear Flourishes - small (1812).
Next here are two cards that made using the stamp set from the Chalk It Up WOTG. in both of them I have stamp the Life is good image three times. The first time I stamped the entire image on White Daisy CS in Sorbet Ink. The I stamped the "Life"" portion in Black Ink, then for the first card I stamped the "is Good" portion in Flaxen Ink and for the second card I stamped it in Lagoon Ink. Then cut those pieces out and layered them on the piece stamped in Sorbet ink. For the first one I also stamped the triangles in Black Ink, and Layered a smiley face from the Chalk It Up Assortment. for the first card I pleated the Black Twill ribbon for the bottom of the card. For the second card I pleated a piece of paper from the kit after inking edges with Lagoon Ink. I also adhered three Silver Sequins.
I hope you have enjoyed what I shared. I also have layouts using this kit, click HERE to see them. Then you can come back here and go onto our next blogger. The next blogger on this hop is Belinda McLane I'm sure you are going to enjoy what she has to share.
