Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #513

  

I love these sketch challenges; they are fun and help me try new things. 

This month my focus has been on using the Four Seasons Spring papers        and coordinating products. Maybe it is because it is so cold here in southeast Missouri and my heart is yearning for spring.

Since are cardstocks are two toned, I was able to use just 3 cardstocks to get 6 colors. The dark side is the true color, and the lighter side is a shade of it. From the Four Seasons Spring Coordinating Cardstock Packet, I used the Capri, Lemonade and Ballerina Cardstocks. Which I distressed with sandpaper over the top and around the edges. I also used a strip of the woodgrain paper from Four Seasons Spring Paper Packet. 

I used Smell the Flowers Stamp +Thin Cuts for my images and stamped these with Lemonade and Avocado Inks. Since I didn't have Capri Ink, I used Carolina. I did some coloring it with the TriBlend Markers Pale Pink Blend & Citrus Blend. 

I love to add images to the inside of my cards as well. I left the inside blank for a personal note.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #510 - Smell the Flowers

I loved this sketch so much that I made a second card with it.
This time I used the Four Seasons Spring Paper Packet and Coordinating Cardstock with the Smell the Flower Stamp Set. I used the Avocado, Flamingo, and Lemonade Ink to stamp my images. Some were colored in with TriBlend Markers (Citrus Blend and Pale Pink Blend). I used Toffee Ink to edge distress the Woodgrain paper and stamp my greeting. I give dimension to the card I used both the Regular and Thin 3-D Foam Tape. The Avocado CS is edge distress with 100 grit sandpaper.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #510 - Frosty Days

 Hi everyone, this week I participated in the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #510. I love these challenges and encourage you to check out what everyone designed at 

I decided to use Frosty Days the Close to My Heart January Stamp of the Month. I just love all the critters is this set. Unfortunately, this stamp set i being the January Stamp of the Month is no longer available. Hopefully you got it already. I chose to use the Life's a Hoot Paper Packet and the Coordinating Cardstock. Then for my greeting I used Hello! from the, For All Occasions stamp set.  I stamped my images on watercolor paper and used our watercolor paints and the small water bush to color them. I hand cut the branches from watercolor paper and colored them also with our watercolor paints.

I hope this card makes you smile like I does me.
